Rhode Island District to Choose Reading Program |

HILL joined the Cumberland Public Schools (Cumberland, Rhode Island) to begin the process of a comprehensive core program review to choose a program for the 2010 – 2011 school year. The process, which commenced with a day-long retreat, included three publishers invited to give the committee (comprising representative reading coaches, classroom teachers and administrators) an overview of three core reading programs. The committee, now divided into vertical teams, will be meeting weekly through the end of April to evaluate these important components. |

HILL Executive Director Dr. Sandy Jones and Literacy Professional Linda Camp presented a two-day leadership training hosted by the Atlanta Speech School - Rollins Center. Sixteen administrators from the Atlanta area attended and reported that the training was excellent and just what they needed. |
